We at The Meadows Instow have over 20 years’ experience of supporting people with learning difficulties and/ or mental health diagnoses to lead independent and fulfilled lives.

Our aim is to create an environment where staff see every Home as THE Home of those we care for, and not just a place they come to work.

We believe that every person, regardless of the challenges they may face, can accomplish amazing things, given the right support and encouragement. We work with imagination to help people overcome barriers and empower them to exceed their own and others expectations.

We know that every person is unique, and we respect and recognise individuality. We know that ordinary day-to-day experiences can represent extraordinary achievements and by helping and encouraging people to take control and improve their health and wellbeing, they can develop belief in their own potential. We strive to make positive outcomes a reality for everyone.

Above all, our approach reflects our core values of individual choice, dignity, honesty, integrity, transparency, and respect; helping people to lead fulfilled independent lives by working together to make a real difference.

By understanding every person’s choices, we start to effectively support them, providing services that put the individual at the core of everything we do:

Delivering person-centred care in a positive risk culture of ‘doing with’ not ‘doing for’.
